Google has launched Nano Banana Pro, a new image generation and editing model based on Gemini 3 Pro. This upgrade offers enhanced capabilities, including more accurate text rendering in multiple languages, improved real-world knowledge, higher resolution outputs up to 4K, and finer creative controls. The model allows users to adjust camera angles, modify lighting, apply colour grading, and perform localised edits.
Nano Banana Pro can blend up to 14 images while maintaining the consistency and resemblance of up to five people. It also connects to Google Search for real-time information, enhancing its ability to generate infographics and diagrams. The model is rolling out to the Gemini app and will be available in various Google services, including Google Slides, Google Vids, and Google AI Studio.
Nano Banana Pro is designed for professional asset production and complex instructions, while the original Nano Banana is optimised for speed and efficiency. Google is also introducing a SynthID extension in the Gemini app to verify if images are AI-generated.
