Deta Launches AI-Powered Surf

Deta has unveiled Surf, a new application that blends the functionalities of an AI browser with a notebook, similar to NotebookLM. Surf is designed to enhance how users browse the web by integrating AI to improve understanding and information retrieval. The browser allows users to create contexts with notes, saved webpages, and videos to focus prompts on specific information.

Surf aims to place the user at the centre of their research, helping them to think more clearly across it. It allows users to directly integrate the web into AI workflows. Deta's goal is to design computing products that enhance human intelligence, whether for understanding, decision-making, or creativity.

Surf stores user data locally on the device. The app is currently in invite-only alpha, with a beta version coming soon that promises to be faster, more stable and easier to use.
