What happened
Google, with Wesfarmers Health, Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute, and Latrobe Health Services, launched an Australian program to improve rural heart health. Google Australia’s Digital Future Initiative invested $1 million AUD. The initiative deploys Google for Health’s Population Health AI (PHAI), a proof-of-concept, to identify hidden health risks. PHAI uses Google Earth AI's Population Dynamics Foundation Models (PDFM) and other datasets, including clinical records and geographic factors, to analyze de-identified, aggregated data. SISU Health plans over 50,000 new health screenings in remote areas.
