A 17-year-old in Spain is under investigation for allegedly using AI to generate deepfake nude images of his female classmates. Sixteen young women from a Valencia educational institution reported the AI-generated images circulating online. The investigation began after a student reported a fake social media account posted AI-generated videos and photos appearing to show her naked.
Police traced the IP addresses used to create the accounts to the suspect's home. He is being investigated for corruption of minors. The Spanish government announced plans to introduce a law criminalising the creation of non-consensual AI-generated sexual imagery.
