Heidi, an Australian AI health startup focused on automating administrative tasks for doctors, has secured $65 million in Series B funding. The round was led by Point72 Private Investments, valuing the company at $465 million. This investment brings Heidi's total funding to $96.6 million.
Heidi's AI medical scribe captures conversations, structures notes, drafts summaries and tracks follow-up tasks. The platform uses both company-owned and large language models to optimise accuracy and cost. The funding will support product development, infrastructure scaling and sales team growth. Heidi aims to expand its headcount and support in the US, UK, and Canada.
Heidi's software is used in over two million patient interactions weekly across 116 countries. It integrates with various electronic health record platforms and complies with global privacy standards. The company's AI is designed to reduce the administrative burden on clinicians, allowing them to focus more on patient care.
