What happened

AM Intelligence Labs (AMI Labs), a division of AM Group, partnered with Raja Koduri's OXMIQ Labs for data centre and system infrastructure advisory. This collaboration targets a 2 GW renewable-powered AI compute platform in India by 2030, including an initial 1 GW hub in Uttar Pradesh. OXMIQ Labs will advise on system architecture, hardware planning, infrastructure design, and supply chain strategy. Phase 1 of the Noida Compute Hub is under development, with first compute capacity expected online by late 2027. The platform will integrate renewable power generation, data centre infrastructure, accelerators, software, and AI service models.

Why it matters

Procurement teams and infrastructure architects face a new model for large-scale AI compute acquisition. This vertically integrated approach, combining renewable energy with AI infrastructure, aims to reduce data centre power costs by 50–70% compared to conventional facilities. For platform engineers, this partnership signals a shift towards efficient, carbon-free AI compute, lowering operational expenditure and simplifying supply chains by integrating power generation and compute.
