According to Challenger, Gray & Christmas, employers attributed nearly 55,000 layoffs to AI in 2025. While Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei predicts AI could eliminate half of entry-level white-collar jobs within five years, current data shows a 13% decline specifically in early-career software engineering and customer service roles since 2022.
