Top executives from Google, Microsoft, OpenAI, and Apple have aligned with Melania Trump's new AI initiative, signalling Silicon Valley's intent to collaborate with the White House. The initiative focuses on equipping American students with AI skills.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella unveiled plans to integrate the company's Copilot AI into US schools, offering free access to college students immediately, with K-12 students and teachers to follow. Microsoft is committing $4 billion in resources, services, and training over five years. Amazon has pledged to train four million individuals in AI skills, support 10,000 educators, and provide $30 million in AWS cloud credits to American schools.

Melania Trump emphasised the need to manage AI responsibly, advocating for ethical AI use and addressing potential harms like deepfakes. The initiative also includes support for the Take It Down Act, aimed at removing non-consensual AI-generated content quickly.
