As of July 2025, 40% of employees report using AI in their roles, a substantial increase from 19% in August 2024. This rise highlights a growing demand for AI-related training, with employees recognising AI's potential to enhance productivity.
While AI offers opportunities for increased productivity and process augmentation, a gap exists between adoption and adequate training. A majority of employees, 81%, believe they could leverage AI more effectively with additional training. Ibec's research underscores the necessity for comprehensive strategies that address awareness, responsible AI use, and employer engagement. This includes navigating legal considerations like data protection and privacy to ensure ethical AI integration.
