Apple is reportedly developing a range of AI-powered devices, signalling a major push into the robotics and smart home sectors. Plans include a tabletop robot, envisioned as a virtual companion featuring a screen mounted on a movable limb, with a potential launch in 2027. The company is also said to be working on a smart speaker with an integrated display, expected to arrive sometime next year.
Furthermore, Apple is aiming to create a comprehensive home security system to rival Amazon's Ring and Google's Nest. This includes developing multiple types of cameras, one of which is a battery-powered security camera with facial recognition and infrared sensors. These cameras could last for months on a single charge and integrate with home automation systems, adjusting settings based on who is in the room.
These initiatives represent a significant expansion of Apple's hardware ecosystem and a renewed focus on artificial intelligence to enhance user experience and compete in the growing smart home market.
