iMerit Expands AI Scholars

iMerit is broadening access to its Scholars program, a team of specialists focused on refining generative AI models for both enterprise applications and foundational models. This initiative emphasises the importance of high-quality data, gathered and refined by experts, over simply accumulating large quantities of data.

The Scholars program assembles experts with deep knowledge in fields like medicine, STEM, and finance to improve AI model specialisation. These experts collaborate using iMerit's Ango Deep Reasoning Lab to fine-tune models through prompt engineering, response creation, and reinforcement learning. iMerit reports a high retention rate among its expert workforce, with a significant percentage being women.

By focusing on expert-led data annotation, iMerit aims to deliver more accurate and reliable AI solutions, particularly in sensitive sectors such as healthcare where precision is critical. The Scholars program is designed to address the growing need for specialised knowledge and human oversight in the development of AI systems.
