Google Photos is integrating the Nano Banana AI model to enhance image editing capabilities. Users can now make targeted edits using simple text or voice prompts, such as altering facial expressions or applying stylistic changes like 'Renaissance portrait'. The 'Create with AI' feature offers ready-made templates for instant transformations, including options for professional headshots or holiday cards.

Android users in the US and India will first gain access to themed templates that allow one-tap edits. Google Photos is also introducing personalised templates that leverage user data to create unique edits tailored to individual hobbies and experiences. The 'Help me edit' feature, already available on Android, is expanding to iOS devices in the US.

Furthermore, the 'Ask Photos' feature, which enables natural language queries, is expanding to over 100 countries and 17 languages, replacing the traditional search function with an 'Ask' tab. These updates aim to simplify photo editing and creative image transformations through more intelligent search functionality.
