Google has launched its Nano Banana AI model, integrating it into Mixboard, an experimental concepting board designed to help users explore and refine ideas. Mixboard allows users to start projects from text prompts, add their own images, or use AI to generate unique visuals.

Nano Banana enables users to edit their boards with natural language, make small changes, and combine images. The AI model excels at character consistency, allowing for targeted edits without distorting key features. Users can also create new versions of their ideas with one-click options and generate text based on the context of images on their boards.

Mixboard is currently available as a public beta in the U.S. It offers a fresh approach to creative brainstorming through AI-enhanced mood boards, providing a handy reference point for photographers and other creatives to visualise a vast array of possibilities.
