Meta has introduced its latest smart glasses, priced at $799, featuring an integrated display. The Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses include voice control, photo and video capture, dual speakers, five microphones, and a 12MP camera. They are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 chipset.
The key upgrade is a full-colour monocular display in the right lens with a 600x600 resolution, offering a 20-degree field of view. The display operates at a 90Hz refresh rate and adjusts brightness from 30 to 5,000 nits, with minimal light leakage. The glasses can show real-time captions and language translations. Battery life is estimated at six hours during mixed use, extending to 30 hours with the charging case. A wristband is included for gesture-based control.
Meta's new glasses will be available in select stores in the United States from September 30, with a broader release planned for early 2026 in Canada, the UK, France and Italy.
