Pony.ai is confident it will achieve its 2025 production goals for robotaxis, despite the challenges of large-scale commercialisation. The company has already produced over 200 of its seventh-generation robotaxis and is on track to reach its target of 1,000 vehicles by the end of the year.
Pony.ai's Q2 2025 revenues increased by 76% year-on-year, with robotaxi fare revenues up by over 300%. The company is expanding its robotaxi services across tier-one cities and has secured permits for fully driverless operations. Pony.ai is also expanding internationally, with partnerships in Dubai and permits for robotaxi operations across South Korea.
The company's Gen-7 vehicles have achieved over 2 million kilometres of autonomous driving, demonstrating its commitment to safety and scalability. Pony.ai is also focused on improving cost efficiency, aiming for a 1:30 remote assistant-to-vehicle ratio by the end of 2025.
