TD Securities has launched an AI assistant to support its equity sales and research teams, with plans to expand its use throughout the bank. This virtual assistant is designed to streamline daily tasks, allowing staff to focus on client engagement and strategic decision-making.
The AI assistant helps investment banking teams access data faster, improve client interactions, and gain real-time insights. It uses Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) to search internal research documents, interpret, analyse, and summarise key points. The system also employs Text-to-SQL functionality to convert conversational queries into SQL queries, gathering and synthesising results into summary tables and visual plots.
Analysts and bankers can use the AI assistant to simplify research, automate routine queries, and enhance client service. The tool represents a step towards the future of work, built by traders for traders, and signifies TD's ongoing investment in financial technology and operational efficiency.
