Canva now integrates Anthropic's Claude AI, enabling users to create and edit designs through natural language prompts. This integration streamlines the design process, allowing users to describe their desired outcomes to Claude, which then translates these requests into editable Canva designs. The aim is to save users time by allowing Claude to directly access data and weave it into new assets.
Users can instruct Claude to generate, summarise, review, and publish Canva designs directly within a Claude chat. For example, users can prompt the chatbot to pull company revenue data from Stripe and organise it into an easily digestible quarterly report, rather than having to transfer the data themselves into an AI-generated template. Similarly, product developers can ask Claude to pull notes from Linear to track a bug-fixing process, and graphic designers can easily prompt Claude to create designs in Canva.
This collaboration seeks to make design more accessible and efficient for millions of users. By connecting Claude to third-party applications, users can save time transferring information between platforms, fostering a more collaborative AI experience. The new directory for Claude is available now for all web and desktop users.
