Amazon Web Services (AWS) is set to launch its AI agent marketplace next week, with Anthropic as a key partner. The marketplace aims to centralise AI agents, offering tools that can automate tasks such as booking meetings, summarising reports and handling customer service. This initiative allows startups to list and sell their AI agents, while enterprise customers can shop for specific agents based on their needs. AWS's marketplace will provide a platform for developers to explore options, removing the need to build custom solutions. Anthropic gains access to AWS's extensive customer base, potentially increasing the adoption of its Claude API. AWS is also collaborating with HUMAIN to develop a unified AI agent marketplace for the Saudi government, as part of a $5 billion investment in AI infrastructure in Saudi Arabia. This includes the development of Arabic Large Language Models (ALLaM) to drive AI adoption across the Gulf region.
