Lemony AI: On-Premise Powerhouse

Lemony AI: On-Premise Powerhouse

11 June 2025

Uptime Industries has launched Lemony AI, an on-premise 'AI-in-a-box' solution designed to empower localised AI usage. This device enables businesses to run large language models, AI agents, and automated workflows locally, addressing data privacy and security concerns. The Lemony node can host a full AI stack, from foundation models to retrieval-augmented generation agents, without requiring specialised knowledge to set up or operate. It supports up to five users per device, with stackable scalability for larger teams.

The core aim of Lemony AI is to eliminate the need for external cloud infrastructure, helping enterprises avoid common concerns around data sovereignty, compliance and shadow AI. IBM is collaborating with Lemony to provide enterprise-grade AI models, including its Granite model family, preloaded for secure local deployment. JetBrains is also partnering to integrate its AI-assisted coding models directly onto the hardware, ensuring transparency and auditability for developers.

Targeting privacy-conscious sectors such as healthcare, legal, finance, and government, Lemony AI seeks to provide a cost-effective and secure AI solution. The device activates and makes searchable thousands of documents and files, unlocking previously dormant knowledge while maintaining strict internal security controls.
