Meta's AI glasses are receiving a software update that introduces 'Conversation Focus', a feature designed to enhance speech clarity in noisy environments. This function uses the glasses' open-ear speakers to amplify the voice of the person you are conversing with, making it easier to distinguish speech from background noise. Users can adjust the amplification by swiping the right temple or via device settings.
Additionally, the update integrates Spotify, enabling users to prompt the AI with 'Hey Meta, play a song to match this view'. The AI will then generate a personalised playlist based on the user's surroundings. For example, looking at holiday decorations might trigger a festive-themed playlist.
The update is initially rolling out to those in Meta's Early Access Program for Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta HSTN glasses in the US and Canada. Meta is also adding the option to trigger specific commands with a single word.
