Anthony Armstrong, previously a banker at Morgan Stanley, has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Elon Musk's xAI. Armstrong will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of both xAI and the social media platform X.
Armstrong's appointment comes at a crucial time as xAI seeks to expand its footprint in the field of artificial general intelligence (AGI). His prior experience includes advising on Musk's acquisition of Twitter, now known as X. He will now be tasked with improving the social media platform's financial standing.
This move consolidates Musk's control over his ventures. It also occurs amidst senior departures and xAI's ambition to achieve a $200 billion valuation.
