Veeam has acquired Securiti AI for $1.725 billion, aiming to unify data resilience with data security, privacy, and AI trust. The acquisition will allow Veeam to offer a single platform for managing an entire data estate, addressing fragmented data management across apps, clouds, SaaS environments, and backups.
The combined solution will give organisations a unified command centre to control and understand their data, secure it with near-zero data loss, and recover data and AI with precision. Securiti AI's Data Command Center, powered by a knowledge graph and AI framework, automates data intelligence, security, and controls. Following the deal's close, Securiti AI CEO Rehan Jalil will become Veeam's President of Security and AI.
Veeam will continue to offer Securiti AI's Data Command Center alongside its existing data resilience products. The acquisition enhances Veeam's data protection platform, adding capabilities in data security posture management (DSPM), data access governance, AI security, and privacy. This move allows Veeam to enter the AI cybersecurity market, providing customers with a comprehensive solution for data management and security in the AI era.
