What happened
Thomson Reuters and Anthropic expanded their partnership, integrating Anthropic's Claude AI directly into CoCounsel Legal via a new Model Context Protocol (MCP). This development leverages Anthropic's Claude Agent SDK to power the next generation of CoCounsel Legal, enabling legal professionals to move between general-purpose AI and citation-grounded legal work from either environment. The collaboration aims to deliver "fiduciary-grade AI" for accuracy, accountability, and trust in high-stakes professional settings.
