Trump recently hosted a dinner with tech leaders, including Zuckerberg, Altman, Tim Cook, and Bill Gates, signalling a potential alliance between the administration and the AI industry. Zuckerberg's Meta has pledged to invest $600 billion in infrastructure through 2028. Altman has voiced his support for Trump's vision of US dominance in AI, commending the administration's embrace of AI and associated infrastructure. He also donated $1 million to Trump's inaugural fund.
These moves come amid a global race in artificial intelligence, with significant investments being made in data centres and infrastructure. The tech leaders present at the dinner pledged their support for the president and for manufacturing goods in the United States.
