This partnership streamlines AI development by offering a unified platform for building, evaluating, and scaling AI agents without the complexities of data movement or managing separate tools. Customers can run large language models (LLMs) on their existing enterprise data via SQL or API, deploying them securely with governance and observability controls. Databricks' existing Unity Catalog ensures security and compliance. The integration builds upon previous collaborations, with OpenAI already utilising Databricks' infrastructure for AI data processing.
Databricks expects this integration to drive significant revenue, while OpenAI gains access to a broader range of enterprise clients beyond Microsoft Azure.
