OpenAI has launched ChatGPT Go in Indonesia, marking the second country after India to receive this affordable subscription plan. Priced at Rp 75,000 (approximately $4.52) per month, ChatGPT Go aims to provide users with expanded access to popular features at a lower cost than the existing Plus and Pro subscriptions.
ChatGPT Go includes extended access to GPT-5, increased limits for messages, image generation and file uploads, advanced data analysis, and longer memory for more personalised responses. The service is available on web, iOS, Android and desktop. OpenAI's decision to launch in Indonesia is driven by the increasing adoption of ChatGPT in the country, with weekly active users reportedly tripling year-on-year. This move reflects OpenAI's strategy to capture more users in cost-sensitive, high-growth markets, mirroring its success in India, where subscriptions doubled after the introduction of ChatGPT Go.
