Gemini Gems Now Shareable

Google has enabled users to share their custom-built Gemini AI assistants, known as Gems. This feature allows users to distribute their personalised AI configurations, potentially creating a marketplace for specialised AI assistants. Gemini, Google's AI assistant, offers help with various tasks, including writing, planning, and brainstorming. It can understand natural language, allowing users to interact with it as they would with a personal assistant. Gemini is built on sophisticated AI models, which may sometimes result in longer processing times for simple requests compared to Google Assistant.

Gemini CLI, an open-source AI agent, brings the power of Gemini directly into the user's terminal. It provides access to Gemini for coding, content creation, and problem-solving. Users get unmatched free usage limits with a personal Google account, accessing Gemini 2.5 Pro. The Gemini app stores user data, such as prompts, responses, and feedback, in their Google Account when Gemini Apps activity is enabled. Even when Gemini Apps activity is off, conversations are saved for up to 72 hours to provide the service and process feedback.
