TCS Focuses on AI

28 August 2025

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is doubling down on artificial intelligence by launching a dedicated AI and services transformation unit. This new division will consolidate the company's existing AI capabilities to deliver specific solutions across various sectors. Amit Kapur, previously head of TCS's UK and Ireland business, will take the helm on September 1st.

The move signifies TCS's commitment to placing AI at the heart of its growth strategy, with the goal of scaling its impact in AI and enabling large-scale benefit realisation for clients. The new unit will integrate TCS's existing AI teams and capabilities, working closely with horizontal service units and industry business groups. This includes the AI and Data unit, which was separated earlier from the AI.Cloud business in Q4FY25.

TCS plans to leverage its global Pace Ports to showcase AI solutions to clients. The company aims to reinvigorate service propositions, deepen AI domain solutions, orchestrate new partnership ecosystems and accelerate rapid innovation in the delivery of AI-powered integrated technology services.
