Cloaked has launched an AI-powered 'Call Guard' feature designed to combat spam and scam calls. This new tool uses an AI bot to screen unknown callers, engaging with them to determine their legitimacy. Calls from contacts bypass the screening, while others are routed to the AI assistant. The assistant analyses the caller's responses to identify potential threats, blocking suspicious calls or prompting them to leave a voicemail.
Users can review live transcripts of the AI's interactions and intervene if necessary. Cloaked also offers tools like masked numbers and call forwarding to protect personal information. The company has introduced a dark web monitoring tool that scans for leaked personal data, alerting users to breaches.
Call Guard is being rolled out to Cloaked users, requiring the latest app version and a verified phone number. Setup involves granting the app access to contacts and enabling call forwarding. Cloaked's automated data deletion program has already removed over 170 million records.
