Kiro, an AI-driven integrated development environment, employs autonomous agents to generate project plans, specifications, and code documentation, facilitating spec-driven development, tested code generation, and feature deployment. It maintains persistent context, learns team coding standards, and integrates an AWS Security Agent for vulnerability identification and a DevOps Agent for performance testing. Access tiers support up to 2, 50, or 100 users.
Why it matters
The introduction of an AI-driven IDE with autonomous agents generating code and documentation introduces a control gap in direct developer oversight of code genesis and adherence to internal architectural patterns.
