What happened
Uare.ai, formerly Eternos.life, secured $10.3 million in seed funding to develop individual AI digital twins. These private, containerised, self-owned models capture personal memories, stories, expertise, and voice via a Human Life Model (HLM) framework to mirror individual thinking and decision-making processes. The platform targets prosumers, creators, and professionals, offering proof-of-person identity and options for sharing or monetising AI knowledge through private circles or curated marketplaces.
Why it matters
The introduction of self-owned, containerised AI models for individuals increases the due diligence requirements for IT security and data governance teams regarding data provenance and access controls. This creates a potential accountability gap for organisations interacting with these AI entities, as the control over the AI's data and sharing mechanisms resides solely with the individual, rather than a centralised corporate entity. This shifts the burden of data security and compliance to the individual AI owner.
