Apple and Formula 1 have struck a five-year deal, making Apple TV the exclusive U.S. broadcaster for the racing series starting in 2026. The agreement encompasses all practice, qualifying, sprint sessions, and Grand Prix events. Select races and practice sessions will be available for free on the Apple TV app.
This partnership follows the success of the Apple-produced F1 film, which grossed over $628 million worldwide. Formula 1 aims to broaden its reach to new demographics through Apple's extensive ecosystem. Apple plans to amplify the sport across various platforms, including Apple News, Maps, Music, Sports, and Fitness+. F1 TV Premium will continue to be offered in the U.S. via Apple TV.
The deal is reportedly worth $750 million over five years. Apple's foray into Formula 1 bolsters its growing sports content portfolio, which already includes Major League Soccer and Friday Night Baseball.
