What happened
Daniel Moreno-Gama, 20, from Texas, faces state charges including two counts of attempted murder and attempted arson, alongside federal charges related to explosives and an unregistered firearm, after allegedly throwing a Molotov cocktail at OpenAI CEO Sam Altman's San Francisco home on April 10. Moreno-Gama also attempted forced entry with a chair and was found with incendiary devices and an anti-AI manifesto listing other AI executives. Federal prosecutors allege Moreno-Gama later threatened to burn down OpenAI's headquarters before his apprehension.
