What happened
Anthropic launched "Remote Control" for Claude Code, allowing users to run AI-assisted coding sessions directly on their local machines. This feature enables remote interaction via web browsers or dedicated iOS/Android apps while keeping the entire session, including filesystem access, tools, and project configurations, local. It requires a Pro or Max subscription and offers optional sandboxing for isolation. Sessions automatically reconnect after interruptions, maintaining conversation history across devices, distinct from cloud-based Claude Code.
