AI company Anthropic has successfully completed a Series F funding round, raising $13 billion and achieving a valuation of $183 billion. The investment will be used to accelerate enterprise adoption of Anthropic's AI solutions, expand AI safety research, and support international growth.

The funding round was led by ICONIQ, with Fidelity Management & Research Co. and Lightspeed Venture Partners also participating. Anthropic plans to use the capital to further develop its AI models and platforms, particularly its Claude chatbot, and to compete with other AI companies. Anthropic currently leads in enterprise market share, capturing 32% of enterprise LLM spend.

Anthropic's focus on AI safety and ethical considerations differentiates it from competitors. The company's research teams investigate the safety, inner workings, and societal impact of AI models. Anthropic's Claude platform is designed for deployment at scale, with features such as data privacy, user management, and regulatory compliance.
