Google plans to inject $9 billion into Oklahoma over the next two years to bolster its cloud and AI capabilities. The investment will support the development of a new data centre campus in Stillwater and the expansion of an existing facility in Pryor. This commitment aims to significantly increase the pace of development in cloud computing and artificial intelligence infrastructure within the region.
The funding will also be allocated to expanded education and workforce development programs. Google's AI for Education Accelerator, launched recently, is already providing AI training for the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University.
This investment signifies Google's ongoing commitment to expanding its technological footprint and supporting educational initiatives, promising substantial economic and technological advancements for Oklahoma.
