Rivian has launched Mind Robotics, an industrial AI and robotics company, marking its second spinoff this year. The venture is focused on applying machine learning to manufacturing, warehousing, and supply chain operations. Mind Robotics has already secured $110 million in seed funding. This move signals Rivian's intent to leverage its operational data and engineering talent to diversify revenue streams beyond electric vehicle manufacturing. The company aims to utilise industrial AI to reshape how physical world businesses operate, building a 'robotics data flywheel' from its manufacturing and logistics networks. The first spinoff of Rivian this year was Also, a micromobility startup.
