ElevenLabs introduced AI-generated voice replicas for Michael Caine and Matthew McConaughey, expanding its voice synthesis capabilities. McConaughey, an investor and collaborator since 2022, will utilise his AI voice for a Spanish-language newsletter. Caine's replica will feature in the new Iconic Voice Marketplace, which facilitates ethical licensing of AI-generated voices by connecting rights holders with interested parties. This initiative follows ElevenLabs' prior focus on AI dubbing and the implementation of safeguards against unauthorised high-profile voice cloning after earlier misuse cases.

The introduction of a formal marketplace for AI-generated celebrity voices, despite stated safeguards against unauthorised cloning, increases the due diligence requirements for procurement and legal teams.
