ElevenLabs has partnered with actors Michael Caine and Matthew McConaughey to create AI-generated replicas of their voices. McConaughey is also investing in the company and has been collaborating with them since 2022. He plans to use his AI voice to launch a Spanish-language version of his newsletter, 'Lyrics of Livin'.

Caine's voice will be featured in ElevenLabs' Iconic Voice Marketplace, which allows for the ethical licensing of AI-generated voices for various projects. ElevenLabs aims to provide tools for amplifying voices and opening doors for storytellers, while also addressing ethical concerns around AI voice technology. The Iconic Voice Marketplace connects rights holders with interested parties to ensure proper licensing agreements.

ElevenLabs, founded in 2022, initially focused on AI dubbing for movies, audiobooks, and video games. After facing misuse cases involving voice cloning, the company implemented safeguards, including measures to prevent unauthorised cloning of high-profile voices.

AI generated content may differ from the original.
