Square has launched an AI-powered voice ordering system and an integrated Bitcoin solution for its merchants. The AI voice ordering is designed to answer incoming calls in a conversational manner, process orders using natural language, and handle inquiries about menu items. Confirmed orders are then sent directly to the kitchen or the point-of-sale (POS) app.
Square Bitcoin enables merchants to accept Bitcoin payments with no processing fees for the first year; afterwards, the processing fee will be 1%. Merchants can also automatically convert card sales into Bitcoin and manage their Bitcoin alongside other finances within the Square POS system. Square Bitcoin consists of Bitcoin Payments and Bitcoin Conversions. Bitcoin Payments allows sellers to accept bitcoin directly from their point-of-sale. Bitcoin Conversions enables sellers to automatically convert a percentage of their daily card sales into bitcoin.
