JPMorgan Chase has rolled out an AI chatbot to assist employees with writing performance reviews. The tool leverages the bank's large language model (LLM) to generate review drafts based on user prompts. This move aims to boost productivity and streamline internal processes.
The chatbot, dubbed LLM Suite, is similar to other commercially available AI tools. It is designed to provide information, solutions, and advice on various topics, acting as a research analyst. JPMorgan Chase has been gradually deploying the LLM Suite across different areas of the bank, with approximately 15% of its workforce currently having access.
While AI integration is expected to enhance efficiency, concerns remain about potential job displacement. JPMorgan Chase anticipates that AI will impact workforce composition, potentially reducing certain job categories while creating new ones. The bank is investing heavily in AI, but also emphasizes the importance of human oversight, particularly in high-stakes financial decisions.
