Dropbox has rolled out enhanced features for Dash, its AI-powered search and knowledge management tool. The update focuses on improving content discovery and creation workflows. Dash now boasts advanced search capabilities for video and image files across connected platforms, eliminating the need for precise file names. Users can now search for content using natural language queries like “Spring campaign we shot in New York”.
Beyond search enhancements, Dash now includes AI-driven tools for writing, analysing, and summarising documents from various platforms. These tools aim to streamline content creation by extracting relevant information from existing content. Deeper integrations with apps like Slack and Microsoft Teams allow users to search Canva files directly from Dash or get answers from Slack and Zoom transcripts without switching between apps. For IT admins, Dash offers custom exclusions to keep sensitive content out of search results and manage access permissions across connected apps, ensuring GDPR compliance and data security.
