What happened
Michael Koch, HubKonnect founder and CEO, established "Hyperlocal Intelligence," an enterprise AI category. HubKonnect's platform analyses real-time local data signals—demographics, consumer behaviour, weather, store performance—for individual business locations. This system generates tactical execution plans for marketing timing, localised promotions, and campaign optimisation. Koch previously developed nine global enterprise AI systems for McDonald's and other Fortune 500 companies, starting in 2013, predating mainstream AI adoption. The platform contributed billions in incremental sales and transactions, improving customer traffic and marketing ROI for enterprise clients.
Why it matters
Optimising decisions based on specific local conditions drives significant economic gains for multi-location brands. Procurement teams and founders managing extensive physical footprints gain a mechanism to tailor strategies precisely, moving beyond generalised approaches. This shifts focus from broad AI applications to measurable, location-specific performance improvements, evidenced by billions in incremental sales and transactions. For architects, it highlights the value of integrating granular, real-time local data into enterprise systems, reducing reliance on uniform, less effective global datasets.
