Brave has launched 'Ask Brave', a new AI-powered feature for its search engine that provides detailed answers to user queries. This feature complements the existing 'AI Answers' function, which offers quick summaries. 'Ask Brave' delivers longer, report-style responses with follow-up options and a chat mode enhanced by Deep Research.
Users can access 'Ask Brave' by clicking the 'Ask' button, selecting the 'Ask' tab, or appending '??' to their search query. The system automatically identifies when a query would benefit from an in-depth AI response. 'Ask Brave' integrates relevant enrichments such as videos, news articles, product listings, and local business information. Brave uses its own API and deep research to ensure the accuracy of its AI-generated content.
Brave emphasises user privacy with encrypted chats that expire after 24 hours of inactivity and no IP address logging. 'Ask Brave' builds upon Brave's AI Answers feature, which already handles over 15 million daily requests. The goal is to combine traditional search results with AI-generated responses in a single interface.
