Following the release of OpenAI's GPT-5, Elon Musk has warned Satya Nadella about the potential dangers of Microsoft's partnership with the AI company. Musk claimed that xAI's Grok 4 Heavy model is superior and that Grok 5, slated for release later this year, will challenge its rivals. He also cautioned that OpenAI could overshadow Microsoft.
Nadella responded by highlighting the ongoing nature of AI development and expressing enthusiasm for innovation and competition. He also acknowledged Grok 4's availability on Azure and anticipated Grok 5. Musk also announced that Grok's new Imagine feature for video and image generation would be free for all users.
GPT-5 boasts improvements in coding, mathematics, writing, healthcare, and visual perception. It will be accessible to all ChatGPT users, with higher usage limits for paid subscribers. Through the OpenAI-Microsoft partnership, GPT-5 will integrate with Microsoft's applications, including Microsoft 365 Copilot, GitHub Copilot, Azure AI Foundry, and Copilot.
