Larry Summers has resigned from OpenAI's board of directors following the release of documents detailing his ارتباط with Jeffrey Epstein. Summers's resignation came shortly after a House of Representatives oversight committee released thousands of pages of documents containing email exchanges between Summers and Epstein.
Summers, who joined the OpenAI board in 2023, stated that his decision aligns with his move to step back from public commitments. OpenAI acknowledged Summers's departure, expressing gratitude for his contributions and perspective during his tenure.
Summers had previously served as Treasury Secretary and president of Harvard University. In light of the released correspondence, he stated that he was deeply ashamed of his actions and took full responsibility for continuing to communicate with Epstein.
